|Saturday Night Soul Party: One of San Francisco's longest running Soul-centric parties spanning the golden era of Soul Music
from the early 1960's to the early 1970's. DJ's Lucky, Special Lord B. and Phengren Oswald drop heavy vibes and spin solid sides
coming down from 2000lbs of sound!
Originally founded as the Sunday Night Soul Party way back in 2003, the SNSP worked it's way down the lane from the humblest of beginnings at the now-defunct Big Foot Lodge and down to it's rightful home in the Mission with a following of true-believers, causing near riots at the Casanova Lounge in a Soul-Static frenzy.
Finally settling at the esteemed and legendary Elbo Room in late 2005, the SNSP has been packing the house and knocking them dead twice monthly for nearly 10 years! Not ones to play by the rule books, the three Disc-Slangers slice and dice classic Stax, Motown and Atlantic sides with those ultra-rare deep-cuts you hear about on the news and pepper that stew with a few R&B shakers, Mod Freak-Beaters and Rocksteady Rhythm Blasters for an all inclusive Soul experience.
